Introducing Sharese…

Sharese Maine is the name; motivation, productivity and living life the way I want is the game. I promise I won’t keep you long, I just ask that you take a short ride down background lane with me.

I’m a 27 year old daughter, sister, aunt and proud owner of a Labrador retriever named Queen who I adore :-) . I am a Bronx native, however I currently live in Harlem. I, like some of you, am a product of NYCHA; however I’m living proof that it’s not where you are from, but where you are going. I consider myself single because I don’t have a ring on it. Nonetheless I have experienced great love and continue to welcome love when it presents itself in the right shape and form. My career interest lives in the Charter and public school sectors. I have worked in the education field for over 10 years, in positions that range from After School Counselor to my most recent position as Dean of Students in an urban community based Charter School.

Through my formal educational experience, training and knowledge of the “streets”, I connect with families to lend advice and services. My advice helps to build families culturally and their worldly exposure and knowledge. I am currently enrolled as a full time student at the College of New Rochelle to obtain a degree in Psychology and Leadership Administration. My hope is that school will increase my salary potential, as well as feed my growing appetite of interest in the psychology of relationships and social influences.

Before I step on the brakes, let me just put you on to a couple more things. I wouldn’t have a purpose or forum to share this information with you, if it wasn’t for Dynamo. I want to put my two cents into Dynamo because I support anyone in this world who is striving to be the best person they can be each and everyday. I plan to act as an advocate for the betterment our children’s futures. In addition, I would like to lend support to parents who need advice in areas such as child behavior management, how to expose our children to any and all possibilities for their future and hopefully create partnerships that will benefit us all in the long run. However, if its okay with you all, I would like to use the wondrous act of code switching to occasionally talk about the everyday struggles of the “streets”, love, friendship and more. I am a Dynamo, are you?!

Okay, okay this ride is over for now, but the gas tank is still full; so get ready for a few more rides up Dynamo lane. Until next time, love, live, laugh when and while you can :-)
